META is unique in that it extends the Abraham Accords to local participants in one of the world’s most longest standing regional conflicts. The West Bank is home to Jewish settlers and local Palestinians alike. They both share a somewhat ambiguous status. Palestinians are recognised as belonging to a state without full statehood status. Jewish settlers are an entity without full internationally accepted status, while connected to the State of Israel, which does enjoy full recognised status.

Many antagonists of Israel regard settlers as being the root of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
